Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October 1931 in Rameswaram, a small town in Tamil Nadu. He completed his school education at Rameswaram Elementary School and went on to study B.Sc. (Physics honors) from Saint Joseph College, Tiruchirappalli, graduating in 1954.
