Importance of Teachers Day

Teacher’s Day is celebrated with enthusiasm in all the schools and colleges of the country. On this day students are seen playing the role of teachers in educational institutions. Different students from different classes are selected as ‘teachers’ and sent to teach as teachers in a class smaller than their class.

A student becoming a teacher feels thrilled and proud to see himself in this form. He feels a responsibility while going to the class and teaching the students. Sometimes students talk about different things about the work of the teacher.

At that time the student-turned-teacher realizes that in reality, the work of a teacher is full of responsibility and challenges. Teacher’s Day is like an Experimental Diwas for students who want to build their future as a teacher.

Where they feel proud to become a teacher for a day, they also take a vow that if they get a chance to become a teacher, they will fulfill their duties honestly while maintaining the dignity of their position.

Since the privatization of education, education is taking the form of a business. That is why there has been a change in the behavior of teachers that is why the respect of teachers has decreased in the last few years.

Function on Teachers Day

A specially designed cultural program for the teachers is organized. The program features skits, songs, dances, mimicry, and parodies by the students. The teachers are parodied in a light vein without giving any of them an occasion for being displeased.

The student representatives in their speeches praise the teachers for the good work done as nation builders. We wish him prosperity and long life. We also apologize for any mistake on our part.

Then the teachers are presented with beautiful bouquets and gifts, which usually create laughter without malice.

In last, teachers are invited to the refreshment program and we get blessings from them which they give liberally in tune with their general nature of love and generosity.

Conclusion

In fact, organizing Teacher’s Day will be successful only when the teacher has the knowledge of his responsibility and the student and parents give him respect.
