CTET Exam Pattern 2023 Paper I & II and Marks Distribution

Candidates who are preparing for the CTET exam should know the CTET exam pattern, both the paper and the latest syllabus of the CTET exam. Today in this article we will discuss CTET Exam Pattern for both CTET Paper 1 and 2. If we talk about last year, the CTET exam was conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test), but if we talk about this year, then this year CTET exam will be conducted in offline mode (Pen Paper OMR Based) for CTET July Session.

CTET Exam Pattern 2023

A total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in both the papers of CTET. One mark will be given to the candidate for each correct question and there is no negative marking for wrong answer.

  • Paper I: CTET Paper I exam is conducted for candidates who want to teach class 1 to 5 students.
  • Paper II: CTET Paper II exam is conducted for candidates who want to teach class 5 to 8 students.

CTET Exam Pattern 2023 Paper I

There is a total of 5 sections in the CTET Paper I Exam. There will be a total of 30 questions in each section and it will be of 30 marks. There will be a total of 150 MCQ questions in CTET Paper I and it will be for 150 marks. Candidates will get 2.5 hours to solve all 150 MCQs question.

CTET Exam Pattern 2023 Paper II

There is a total of 4 sections in the CTET Paper 2 Exam. 30 MCQ questions are asked in the first three sections. Total 60 questions asked in Section 4 for 60 Marks. There will be a total of 150 MCQ questions in CTET Paper II and it will be for 150 marks. Candidates will get 2.5 hours to solve all 150 MCQs question.
