CBSE Exam Schedule 2024 Highlights

For the academic year 2023-24, the CBSE Board Exam will begin on February 15, 2024, and end on April 10. The complete CBSE Date Sheet 2024 for classes 10 and 12 students is still awaited. CBSE Board Exam 2024 will be conducted by CBSE Board in offline mode (Pen Paper Mode).

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will conduct board exams for classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24 in offline mode from 15 February 2023. These board examinations for classes 10th and 12th will be conducted for a period of approximately 55 days and are expected to be completed this board exam by 10th April 2024,” the official notice read.

Earlier this year, Joseph Emanuel, Director of CBSE (academic), said, The CBSE board is introducing changes in board examination and evaluation practices for the academic session 2023-24 for classes 10 and 12 to align assessment with competency-centered learning.

In CBSE Class X board exams, half the questions (50 percent) will be competency-based, which may contain multiple-choice questions (MCQs), case-based questions, source-based integrated questions, or other formats.

In the CBSE Class XII board exam, 40 percent of questions will be competency-oriented and may include MCQs, case-based questions, source-based integrated questions, or other formats.
