Training sessions for CS/IT/ICT teachers on ‘Be Internet Awesome’ Program: New Education Policy 2020 talk about technology as a way of assisting teachers, bridging the language gap between teachers and students, building digital libraries, popularizing language learning, and ensuring greater educational access (especially for children with disabilities). To keep this spirit alive, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) in partnership with Google India is organizing training on ‘Be Internet Awesome, a program dedicated to protecting learners and facilitators while exploring the online world.
Post-pandemic online learning has become an inseparable part of the teaching-learning landscape in schools across the country and hence the need to navigate safely is paramount. The Training sessions for CS/IT/ICT teachers on ‘Be Internet Awesome’ Program 2022-23 aim to empower users by educating them and providing them with the right tools and information for online safety. An essential aspect of this commitment is ensuring parents and students have the tools they need to explore the Internet confidently.
Master Trainer Program (Online) for CS/IT/ICT Teachers
The second program of the “Be Internet Awesome” program involves learning through online sessions/webinars only for CS/IT/ICT teachers. This online training will be conducted monthly. Each of these will be replicated to accommodate teachers across the country. Each teacher is required to attend one (2-hour) workshop. They will then train at least 20 teachers to qualify for the certificate.
Important Point of Be Internet Awesome Program
- These Be Internet Awesome training programs are only for teachers teaching CS/IT/ICT to students in the age group of 6-17 years only in CBSE-affiliated schools.
- The maximum participation per cohort is 1,000 participants.
- There is no fee for these ‘Be Internet Awesome’ training sessions.
- Once the teacher registers, the link will be shared on the registered email id.
- These “Be Internet Awesome” training programs are only for teachers teaching CS/IT/ICT to students in the age group of 6-17 years only in CBSE-affiliated schools.
