Sensitization Programme on Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools

CBSE Education Board releases a new notification regarding the Sensitization Programme on Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools on its official website at cbse.gov.in. All important information regarding this program is discussed in this blog post.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has taken initiatives to sensitize teachers across the country about the fundamentals of financial literacy and the use of digital tools which are relevant in the current scenario. The session will focus on creating awareness about basic financial planning, how to avoid becoming a victim of phishing and cyber fraud etc.

This program will help the teachers to stay updated to plan their future in a better way. This initiative of the “Sensitization Programme on Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools” is part of the activities relating to the Investor Education and Awareness Initiative in terms of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.

Hub Leader Schools: Each training in this program will be listed as part of a Hub activity. Lead schools in each hub to ensure the availability of venues for training with a seating capacity of no more than 100 participants. The lead school will also confirm and arrange for an audio system with a projector with screen and microphone for the instructor, depending on availability.

Participating Schools: Principals of Participating Schools are requested to nominate their teachers to participate in this program scheduled at the Hub Leader School as per the calendar shared in this notification. Applicants of this program can click on the given link to register for the training program. Pre-registration is mandatory.

Teachers as participants: As mentioned in this notification, there are multiple events scheduled in each city. A maximum of 100 teachers will be allowed to participate in each session. Teachers can choose the program being organized in their city on a first come first serve basis. This program will be free of cost for CBSE-affiliated teachers.

CBSE board will provide certificates to all the teachers who participate in the session and submit feedback. Attendance and feedback will be taken online during the session. SEBI-certified resource persons will organize the training.
