CBSE Digital Education provides all the information about this latest Edition of CBSE Science Competition 2024-25. CBSE Board has released an official notification about this competition. For this, the CBSE Board has issued a notice on 10th April 2024 in the name of CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 Edition.

This CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 will be available online on the CBSE Platform from April to May 2024. The theme of this latest session of CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 is Science, Environment, and Sustainability.

CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 Highlights

By engaging with this subject, students learn to think, solve problems, and make informed decisions.

As an initiative to inculcate curiosity, inquiry, and higher-order thinking among the learners, the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Board is organizing the CBSE Science Challenge for the students of classes VIII to X.

To access the challenge, CBSE-affiliated schools will have to register their students and provide CBSE Registration ID to those students who can then attend the “CBSE Science Challenge” course on the CBSE Platform.

Details of the CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25

• The CBSE (Science) challenge will be conducted through two rounds – Intra School, and Inter School.
• There is no registration fee for the students participating in both phases of this enrichment activity.
• All applicants of classes 8 to 10 in CBSE-affiliated schools are eligible to participate in Round One (First Phase). The school will need to register the students for this round. For Round Two (Phase II), each CBSE-affiliated school registered in Round I can nominate up to 6 students (The best 02 students from the participating class) already registered.
• The Science Challenge paper will consist of MCQs (Multiple Type Questions) followed by a variety of stimulants. The work of the participating students will focus on both speed and accuracy.
• All the participants of round two will be issued an online participation certificate by the CBSE board. Appreciation certificates will be given to the best-performing students.

CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 Overview

Science Challenge – 2024-25 Phases Detail

A. Round One (First stage)

An affiliated CBSE school can register its students for classes 8 to 10 for the Science Challenge by logging into the Science Challenge portal through the CBSEIT Portal (First Stage) from 10 April 2024 to 24 April 2024. To avoid the last-minute rush, schools affiliated with CBSE are advised to register well before the last date.

On 17th April 2024, a Science Challenge Paper with MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) will be made available to the registered schools along with the scoring criteria on the same portal.

The Central Board of Secondary Education school will conduct the challenge for students registered between 22nd April 2024 to 26th April 2024 and identify 06 students (02 each from classes 8 to 10) based on their performance on the assignments for Round 1.

The school affiliated with CBSE will subsequently register the identified students for Round 2 on the CBSE Science Challenge Portal from 29th April 2024 to 07th May 2024.

B. Round Two (Second stage)

A Computer-Based Science Challenge will be conducted by the CBSE Board for the students registered between 13th May 2024 to 17th May 2024. Only those CBSE schools that have completed the first phase and subsequently registered students for round two will be eligible for the second phase.

The detailed modalities of conducting this Science challenge test will be communicated to the schools that register students for the second round of the challenge.

Any student who qualifies for Round 2 will be given an Online Participation Certificate by the CBSE Board and any student who gives the best performance in the CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 Edition will be given an “Appreciation Certificate”.
