CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 for Students
Science is inextricably linked with our lives and helps us understand the world around us better. Scientific & technological developments contribute to progress and help to improve our standard of living. By engaging with this subject, students learn to think, solve problems and make informed decisions.
As an initiative to inculcate curiosity, inquiry, and higher-order thinking among the learners, the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Board is organizing the CBSE Science Challenge for the students of classes VIII to X.
This challenge will be available on the DIKSHA platform from 17 January 2022 to 28 February 2022. Students from classes 8 to 10, irrespective of the board, are eligible to participate in this science challenge 2022.
To access the challenge, CBSE affiliated schools will have to register their students, provide CBSE Registration ID to those students who can then attend the “CBSE Science Challenge” course on the Diksha platform. Schools can nominate up to 5 children in each class who have secured a certificate of participation in the CBSE science challenge directly or for the second stage of Raman Young Science Innovator Awards (organized by RRI Trust established by Sir CV Raman) or national qualifiers. for more details visit https://www.ramanaward.org/.

Instructions for CBSE Schools to register their Students
- There is no participation fee for this student enrichment activity in Science Contest.
- CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Schools Visit the official website of the CBSE Board and click on “CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22” to register your students. As soon as the schools register the students, the registration ID will be generated which they can provide to the concerned students. This is to be given to the students so that they can fill it on the Diksha portal at the beginning of the CBSE Science quiz.
How to Participate / Register in CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22
Step for Students to register CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22?
Step I: Students can access the course through the DIKSHA portal on a computer or through the DIKSHA app on their Android Smartphone. iPhone users can access this science quiz on any mobile browser. They must have the latest version of the DIKSHA app from Google PlayStore to access the quiz. If they already have the DIKSHA app, it can be ensured that it is updated to the latest version by visiting the Google PlayStore.
Step II: Students have to log in to the Portal or App using their existing DIKSHA credentials. In case they do not have an account on DIKSHA, they can register for it by clicking on the “Register here” button on the page. They can also sign in with an existing Google Account by clicking the “Sign in with Google” button.
Step IV: On reaching the home page of the course, click on the link “Join the course”.
Step V: Once they join the course, they will be able to access various modules of this course. They can either click on Start Learning or on one of the modules to access the content:
- The first module provides a brief introduction to the CBSE Science Challenge 2022 course.
- The second module is the CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22.
Step VI: Students from CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) affiliated schools will have to fill in the Registration ID (to be provided by the school/teacher) before accessing the quiz. Students from schools not affiliated with CBSE will have to skip filling this registration ID (please leave it blank).
Step VII: A participation certificate will be provided to all the students who complete the course. Upon completion of the course, the participation certificates will be issued online on the DIKSHA platform itself.
Please ensure that the names of the students in the DIKSHA profile are correct. Students must have the latest version of the DIKSHA app or access to the DIKSHA official website to obtain the certificate. Please note that no merit list will be displayed or separate certificates will be issued to the participants for this activity.
