This is a School Volunteer Programme and schools are quested to participate in this Vidyanjali Activity Program. All important details about this program are explained in the article below. Candidates are advised to read this complete article till the end for all important details about this program.
As you know, the New National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisages transformational change at all levels of education in India through active participation of the community as well as the private sector in achieving its goals and objectives. The Vidyanjali initiative has been launched with an aim to strengthen schools all over the country through community, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and private sector participation.
Vidyanjali is implemented through the official web portal at (vidyanjali.education.gov.in) hosted by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India (GoI), where any Citizen of India/PIO/Organization registered in India can directly associate with Government and Government aided schools, and contribute in the form of services/activities/property/material/equipment, etc.
Vidyanjali Program aims to act as a facilitator by connecting contributors directly with the school. There is an effort to bridge the knowledge/skills/human resource gap in schools by tapping the potential available outside the government.
In addition, the Department of School Education and Literacy has launched a mentor/mentee initiative under Vidyanjali, also called Twinning of Schools. This Vidyanjali program initiative enables schools to become mentors or custodians of other schools (depending on the school’s choice) by contributing hand-holding in academic and property/material/equipment-related activities.
Since the initiative is activity-based, the school’s participation under the initiative can be of short or long duration. The date & time of the Vidyanjali activity may be agreed upon between the participating schools, as it is purely voluntary in nature.
