CBSE has released a new notice regarding the “Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2024 International Letter Writing Competition” for young people. The Department of Posts (DoPs) is organizing the Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2024 – International Letter Writing Competition for Youth. This International Letter Writing competition aims to develop the faculty in composition and subtlety of thought among young people and strengthen international friendships.
The International Bureau (IB) of the UPU (Universal Postal Union), which is coordinating the UPU 2024 International Letter Writing Competition, will select three award winners from the best entries received from each UPU member country. The three winners of this International Letter Writing Competition will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals as well as certificates and other awards by UPU to commemorate their victory. The gold medal winner of this UPU 2024 International Letter Writing Competition may also be offered a trip to the UPU headquarters in Bern, Switzerland, or an alternative award may be decided at the discretion of the UPU.

The Department of Posts (Dops) will select the best three entries of this competition at the national level as well as the circle level and they will be given cash prizes and certificates. The best entry in this International Letter Writing Competition at the national level will qualify as the official Indian entry for the UPU-level international competition. The language to be used in this Letter Writing Competition will be English or any recognized language included in the 8th Schedule of our Constitution.

Keeping the above in view, you are requested to organize this International Letter Writing Competition in your Vidyalaya for interested students in consultation with the Nodal Officers of your respective Divisions/Areas as was done in 2023.
