As India celebrates 75 years of independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Taking their grand vision forward, Indian Oil Corporation in association with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Ministry of Culture has launched Jigyaasa: AKAM Quiz.
Jigyasa is a step towards creating awareness and carrying forward the tradition of knowledge through technology, innovation, and inclusive education. Jigyasa Heritage Quiz, the largest ever quiz conducted by India, drinks from the fountain of History of India’s Civilization; While true to the evolutionary nature of the Indians, it is based on state-of-the-art technology, backed by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
To celebrate the rich cultural heritage and achievements of the world’s oldest civilization, the Ministry of Culture, along with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is organizing the Jigyaasa – Heritage Quiz for the age group of 13 to 18 years. It can be accessed by logging on to the official website suggested by CBSE at www.akamquiz.com.
For those in the age group of 13 to 18 years, it provides them an opportunity to qualify as district winners who then move on to the state, regional and national levels. The winning team members are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 10 lakh each; The total scholarship to be won is Rs 55 lakh.
The Jigyasa Quiz Competition 2022 will be available in 17 languages. It aspires to be truly inclusive in nature and supports persons with disabilities and those who are not part of the formal education system. This Jigyasa Heritage quiz will create awareness about the achievements of ancient India, our rich cultural heritage, and the vast soft power of India in the contemporary world.
