National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release a detailed notification of JEE Main 2024 Exam Schedule for Sessions 1 and 2 in December 2023. JEE Main Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

We discussed below all the main Eligibility Criteria for NTA JEE Main Exam 2024. It is necessary for the applicants of JEE (Main) 2024 to ensure their eligibility before applying for the JEE Main exam, or else their candidature will be canceled.
- Applicants of the Joint Entrance Examination must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- There is no age limit for JEE (Main) 2024. Only those applicants who have passed the 12th board exam in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024 are eligible, irrespective of their age.
- Candidate must have passed five subjects: Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject or any other subject.
- Those applicants of the Joint Entrance Examination who want to take admission for B.Tech/B.Arch/B. Plan in IITs, NITs, and CFTIs should have to secure 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
- For BArch admission other than IITs, NITs, and CFTIs, participants must have secured 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent.
75 Percent Criteria for JEE Mains 2024
National Testing Agency re-introduced 75 percent marks eligibility criteria in JEE Mains Exam last year. Now applicants of the Joint Entrance Examination Main willing to get admission at their desired institute require at least 75% in their class 12th as minimum marks to qualify for JEE Mains. Prior to covid, there was no such condition and no 12th percentage was required for JEE Mains 2024. Any Joint Entrance Examination Main applicant found ineligible according to 75 percent criteria of JEE Mains will be declared disqualified and will not be offered admission at institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
How to Fill JEE Main 2024 Application Form
Step I: Applicants are requested first to visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step II: Find the link on the homepage regarding “JEE Main 2024 registration” and then click this link.
Step III: Enter all the required details asked in the registration form and click on the “Submit” button.
Step IV: After completing successful registration, candidates of JEE Main 2024 will receive an email and text message at their registered email ID and mobile phone number with details of the JEE Main application number and password. Save both the details of your registration for further use.
Step V: Now, after completing the JEE Main registration, applicants will be redirected to the new page for filling out the detailed application form. Enter all important details like educational qualifications, parents’ details, the address of communication and permanent address, and the exam center of preference.
Step VI: Upload the scanned images of your passport size and signature, and other documents (if necessary).
Step VII: Now, pay the JEE Main 2024 application fee through online mode.
Step VIII: Automatically, the JEE Main 2024 application form of the candidates will be submitted after the successful payment.
