CTET Exam Pattern 2024 has been prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 Exam. The CTET Exam Pattern for Paper I and Paper II determines the number of questions asked in the exam, the marking scheme, and the complete structure of the exam question paper. CTET Exam 2024 will be conducted by the CBSE Board Offline Mode (Pen-OMR Mode).

Last year also, the CBSE Board conducted the CTET exam in offline mode only. Before that, the CTET exam was conducted in online mode by the CBSE board. When the CTET exam was conducted in online mode, this exam used to last for many days, but since the board has started conducting it in offline mode, the CTET exam is conducted in just 1 day.

The Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) is divided into two levels or papers. Paper I is for the applicants who want to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for the applicants who want to teach classes 6 to 8. If applicants want to qualify to teach classes 1 to 8, they can appear for both papers in the CTET Exam. Both CTET Paper I and II contain a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each.

CTET Exam Pattern 2024 Highlights

In both papers, 1 mark is given for correct answers and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Paper 1 of the CTET Exam consists of 5 sections whereas Paper 2 of the CTET Exam consists of 4 sections. Applicants have to select between Mathematics and Science and Social Studies in Paper 2. CTET Marking Scheme 2024

Paper I of the CTET Exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 150 marks. On the other hand, Paper II of the CTET Exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and is worth 150 marks. In both the papers of the CTET Exam, there is no negative marking as per the CTET 2024 exam pattern.
