CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 for Principals, Teachers & Students

CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 Program: Central Board of Secondary Education (Most Popular Education Board) to recognize the importance of skills as well as to create awareness on skilling, has organized Skill Expo cum Awareness Workshops on Skill Courses for principals and teachers of CBSE affiliated schools in 2022 at Panipat (Haryana), Agra and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).

Further, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) in association with Lifeology Foundation organized the National Guidance Festival in digital mode in the month of September 2022 for classes 8 to 12 students and parents to educate them on future careers, skills to excel, and “which Choose career path and how to reach the destination”.The event successfully met its objectives of creating student awareness about various career paths.

Also, New Education Policy 2020 has emphasized the importance of scientific guidance for children in schools. The real question is ‘How to decide what to become in the future’ This decision becomes difficult and complex in the present scenario where many changes are taking place in the career world which shows the role of a scientific career and skill guidance in school.

In this context, the CBSE board intends to integrate both these events such as CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival into Skill Expo and Guidance Festival – 2023 to organize regional events covering all regions of the Board, thereby encouraging national-level events can be organized for the purpose of to foster creativity, innovation, and peer learning of students, teachers and principals alike.

CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 Theme & Sub-Theme

CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 Guidelines

All schools desirous of participating need to register using the link that will be provided separately (as per schedule) along with the timeline for the Skill Expo in the notification.

Eligibility for participation: The school students may participate in any of the 02- categories:

A School Team will be represented by:

• a) 1 teacher & 2 students per skill
• b) one mentor Skill teacher
• c) The skill expo will be organized at Two levels- i) Regional ii) National

A minimum of one and a maximum of three skills can be displayed from a school. A school can register a minimum of two teams.

The names of the students and the guiding (or mentor) teacher once registered cannot be changed at any stage of the exhibition.

The school team participating in this event at the regional and national levels should remain the same.

Theme/Sub-theme once selected by the school team cannot be changed. Similarly, the chosen skill by the school team cannot be changed.

The project/exhibition to be displayed can be the process used to make an item/product and the application of entrepreneurship.

Care should be taken to use eco-friendly innovative materials in the preparation of exhibits.

The teams will have to submit the details (title, description, list of materials used, images, videos) of their respective projects within the stipulated time limit (as mentioned in the respective notification).

Screening of entries in this event will be done before Regional/National level exhibitions.

Schools can either create and display a skill on their own or they can also involve experts in the particular field.

The Skill Expo will be assessed by a team of experts as per the following criteria:

• The schools coming under the concerned Regional Office of the Board will be eligible to participate in the respective event.
• These CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 programs are for students, principals, and teachers of CBSE-affiliated schools. The participating schools/teams of this event will bear all the expenses related to participation in the event including accommodation/boarding in the exhibition venue city.
• Selected best entries of this program will be awarded certificates at the regional/national level.
• There is no registration fee for these CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023.
• Shortlisted projects will be informed through e-mail.
• The best performances (number may increase or decrease depending on the quality of the performance) selected in each regional-level exhibition will be eligible to participate in the national-level exhibition.
• The decision of the committee members/experts of this event for the screening of entries will be considered final.

The venue of the CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 program will be notified region-wise in due course of time. Notification in this regard will be displayed in time from the event date.

Accordingly, all the schools affiliated with CBSE are requested to motivate and guide the students for maximum participation in the CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2023 event whenever the registration for individual events opens.
