Science is inextricably linked with our lives and helps us a lot in understanding the world around us better. By engaging in this science subject, students learn to think, solve problems, and make informed decisions. As an initiative to generate curiosity, inquiry, and higher-level thinking among the learners of classes 8 to 12, the CBSE Education Board is organizing the CBSE Science Challenge for students of classes 8th to 10th.
This Science challenge for the 2024-25 Session will be available online on the CBSE platform in the months of April-May 2024. The theme of the CBSE Science Challenge for Session 2024-25 is Science, Environment and Sustainability.
Details of the CBSE Science Challenge
1> The Science Challenge 2024-25 edition will be conducted through two rounds – intra-school and inter-school.
2> There is no fee for the students participating in both phases of this science competition 2024-25 enrichment activity.
3> All students of classes 8 to 10 in CBSE-affiliated schools are eligible to participate in the CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 Round One (First Stage). Schools affiliated with CBSE Board will be required to register students for this first round. For round two (second phase), each affiliated school affiliated with the CBSE Board registered in the first phase can nominate up to 6 students (the best 02 students from each participating class) already registered.
4> The Science Challenge Question Paper for session 2024-25 will consist of various types of stimuli followed by MCQs. The work of participating students in Science Challenge 2024-25 Edition will focus on both speed and accuracy.
5> All participants of the Science Challenge of Round Two will be issued an online participation certificate by the Board. The best-performing students of the CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 will be given appreciation certificates.
