The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the importance of having libraries with adequate supplies and suggests distributing high-quality children’s books to help build the habit of reading across the nation.
To accomplish this goal to increase the enjoyment of reading and to encourage children to read, it was the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) introduced 2021 the CBSE Reading Mission in 2021 (Circular No. Acad-82/2021) which saw teachers and students were given access to a vast collection of high-quality, openly licensed English as well as Hindi children’s books and additional sources for the classes from 1 to 8.

To further promote the joy of reading and inculcate the habit of reading among the students, the Board is providing CBSE Reading App. Through this app, CBSE board students, teachers, and schools will have access to a large digital library consisting of reading material from Nursery to Grade VIII, sourced from a diverse set of publishers in text, audio, and video formats.

How to download and Access CBSE Reading App?
- Students first open your Google Play Store on their Mobile Phones.
- Search on CBSE Reading App by Freedom on Google Play Store or App Store.
- Now CBSE Reading App will display on the Screen.
- Install the Reading App.
- Open the APP and click on the ” Get Started” button.
