Call for nominations for the 2021-2022 edition of the UNESCO Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is inviting nominations for the next edition of the Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development.
In light of the educational catastrophe, the world experienced in 2020 that prevented 1.5 billion learners from attending class, and the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the next edition (2021-22 editions) of the Hamdan Prize is crucially important in supporting progress in teaching.

UNESCO Hamdan Prize
Funded by the Hamdan Bin Rashid AI Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Hamdan Prize was created in 2008 and will be awarded for the seventh time next year. The three prize winners of the 2021-2022 edition will each receive a prize of US $100,000.
Aim of UNESCO Hamdan Prize
The aim of the Prize is to improve teaching practices around the world, especially in developing countries and marginalized and disadvantaged communities. It rewards the candidates who have made outstanding contributions in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning.
Who can be nominated?
Candidates nominated for the Hamdan Prize may be institutions, organizations, and educational or research institutes.
It is requested to forward the nomination to INCCU not later than 15th October 2021 for their consideration & examination. So that the selected nominations can be forwarded to UNESCO before 31 October 2021 (the last date set by UNESCO).
UNESCO Hamdan Prize Application Guide
