About Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021-22

Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVP) was instituted in 2016-17 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation & hygiene practices in schools. The clear objective of the awards is to honor schools that have taken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan.

The Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar has been instituted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practice in schools.

Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021-22

The objective of SVP is to felicitate schools that have taken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan. Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar is based on an IT-enabled assessment of WASH infrastructure, clean practices, and COVID-19 appropriate behavior.

  • Recognizing, motivating, and celebrating excellence in cleanliness and hygiene.
  • To honor schools that have taken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan and adhering to the standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Eligibility for Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2022

The awards will be open to both rural & urban schools for the following categories:

  • Government Schools
  • Government Aided Schools
  • Private Schools

How to apply in Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021-22

All government, government-aided and private schools in both rural and urban areas are invited to apply for the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2022. Schools will be registered with the UDISE+ code of the school. Schools will first complete the primary information section in the prescribed format and submit it.

Step I: Go to the official website of Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar or Click Here to Sign Up and Click Here to Login.

Step II: Fill online Survey

If you do not have the UDISE+ code, download the Data Capture Format (DCF) and submit it to the Block/District/State level office to generate the UDISE+ code.

About Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya

Swachh Bharat: Swachh Vidyalaya is a national campaign running ‘Clean India: Clean Schools’. A key feature of the campaign is to ensure that every school in India has a functioning and well-maintained water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities. Water, sanitation, and hygiene in schools refer to the combination of technological and human development components that are necessary to build a healthy school environment and to develop or support appropriate health and hygiene behaviors.
