Circular No. CBSE/DIR(ACAD)/51/2021 dated July O5, 2021 issued by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) provided for the conduct of Boards Examinations for the academic session 2021-22 in two terms (Term-I and Term-II).

Performance of the Students of Class 10 in Term 1 Exams

Term-I Exam Schedule was conducted. In order to inform the schools about the performance of Term-I examinations, the following important information is also being sent to all concerned for necessary action:

The board is collectively informing the schools only about the theoretical performance of its students of class 10. Hence, the performance of the individual student will not be available on the website.

The performance information of the students is based on the performance of the students uploaded by the schools. The performance information is being communicated to the schools on the basis of scanning of OMR sheets in the subjects which were not assessed by the schools.

In case students missed their Term-I examinations due to COVID Pandemic or due to participation in National/International Sports/Olympiads etc., no performance of Term-I examinations is being informed. However, their final performance will be evaluated on the basis of performance in Term-II examinations as per circular no. CBSE/Coordination/Sports/2021-22 Dated 09/11/2021.

The students are only told about the theory demonstration. The information about practical or project or internal assessment is already with the schools.

Being Term 1 only, now no mark sheet cum passing certificate is being issued. Only one mark sheet cum passing certificate will be issued after the Term 2 Exam to have parity with the previous results. It will consist of aggregate marks of both the terms as per the weightage fixed for Term-I and Term-II examinations.

In order to address the difficulty level between the two sets of question papers in Term-I examinations, necessary action will be taken at the time of preparation of the final result.

The weightage of Term-I and Term-II will be decided at the time of declaration of the result of Term-II and accordingly, the final performance will be calculated.

The result of class 10 students will be declared only after Term-II examinations, in which candidates will be placed in the required repeat/compartment/pass category etc.

No examination center will be changed in the Term-II examination. Students will appear from the examination centers allotted to their school only.

The compartment examinations will be conducted on the basis of the syllabus of Term 2 examinations.

In the case of correspondence school/private candidates, since the students will appear in the Term-II examination only, their marks will be given on a proportionate basis in practical and theory.

In all cases, where ever problems in question papers or marking schemes have been reported, due care has been taken by the Board and the performance of the students has been calculated by the Board taking into account the revised marking scheme, wherever applicable or by awarding marks for the questions left out in a suitable manner keeping in view the academic interests of the students.

Action will be taken on unfair means, under consideration, not eligible and after result cases, etc. as per rules at the time of final result. Such candidates are currently allowed to appear in Term-II examinations.

Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism for Term-I Examinations is made available immediately. This facility will be available till 26 March 2022. However, disputes will be decided along with the verification schedule after the declaration of results of Term-II.
