eRaksha Competition 2021 for school & college students, Educators, and Parents
In the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual classrooms have become the new norm and digital media has become an invaluable tool for children and youth to continue their education. The Internet has become one of the major sources of information, collaboration, and social interaction around the world.
Hence, the urgent need of the hour is to educate the young minds and the potential of the Internet for their learning and development and to become smart and secure.
CIET-NCERT in collaboration with Cyber Peace Foundation is spreading awareness among children and young adults on the need to be safe, smart, and resilient in cyberspace through the ‘e-Raksha Competition‘.

The objective of the eRaksha competition 2021
- To provide a creative and important outlet to children and young people who are currently confined at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, to reflect and share about being safe and responsible on the internet.
- To develop digital citizenship and online safety skills, especially when students are spending most of their time in the digital space for learning and social activities.
- To engage young minds and give them a platform to voice their ideas and suggestions.
CIET-NCERT invites students from class 6 onwards, teachers of all classes, and parents/carers to participate in the competition (or contest) which is free of cost. Participants must share their original ideas, suggestions, and safety precautions in the form of posters, paintings, videos, essays, blogs, or any prototypes of software applications, aligning with the theme of the competition.
Entries can be submitted in Hindi or in English. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the best entries. The winners will also be given the title of ‘Cyber Peace Ambassador’.

Latest News for Extension of the last date of registration for e-Raksha Competition 2021
In order to CBSE Circular No. ACAD-47/2021 dated 21st June 2021, it is informed that the last date of registration for e-Raksha Competition 2021 has been extended up to 22nd August 2021.
The competition details are enclosed in the attached poster and are also available on the e-Raksha official website. The last date for registration is 22.08.2021 and the link for registration.
School heads are requested to disseminate information among students, teachers, and parents to ensure a large number of participants in the competition.
