Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) releases a new circular about the CBSE Storytelling Competition 2022 for Students and Children of classes 3 to 12.
CBSE Digital Education provides complete information about this Storytelling Competition such as Topic of competition, level of competition, registration of storytelling competition, etc.
As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) proposes a storytelling competition on the theme ‘The Story of India’ for all CBSE affiliated schools. Interested schools can submit storytelling videos by students as detailed given below:
Category of Participation in Storytelling Competition 2022
In this storytelling competition, students of classes 3 to 12 can participate in this competition. Read all the important information regarding this competition.

Topics: Topics for Storytelling Competition are attached as Annexure I. Same topics will be used for the school-level and Regional–level competitions.
Level of Storytelling Competition 2022
School Level: Schools will organize storytelling competitions on their own from February 25, 2022, to March 8, 2022, for all four categories and select one best entry in each category to participate at the regional level.
Regional Level: The regional level competition will be conducted digitally from March 8, 2022, to March 17, 2022, through CBSE Storytelling App details as mentioned in Annexure-II.
At the regional level, 1 best story from each category will be selected from each CBSE region. (The number of best entries may vary depending on the quality of the entries as decided by the judges). Each winner will get a merit certificate.
CBSE Storytelling Competition 2022 Registration
After organizing the school-level storytelling competition and selecting the best entry from each category, the school will register the student with the best entry selected.
The registration will be done through the CBSE Storytelling web-portal “मेरी कहानी, मेरी ज़ुबानी”, which will be made available on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in. Registration will be open from March 8, 2022, to March 17, 2022.
The uploading of storytelling videos for the regional level by schools will be open from March 8, 2022, to March 17, 2022. Schools can upload videos of their students using Android phones only through the CBSE Storytelling App available on Google Playstore.
For guidelines on the procedure for submission through the App, please refer to Annexure-II. Before uploading storytelling videos, schools have to obtain a consent letter from the parents/guardians of the students whose videos are being uploaded.
Duration and Size of Video
Students of the primary category can make videos up to 2 minutes long. Students of the Middle category can make 2 to 3 minutes long videos. Students of the secondary category can make 3 to 4 minutes long videos. Students of the Sr. Secondary category can make 3 to 4 minutes long videos. You are a student of any category, the size of the video you make should not exceed 2 MB.

Key Point of Storytelling Competition 2022
- Assessment Criteria will be Creativity, Fluency, Content Delivery, Coherence & Expression.
- Participation in this Storytelling Competition may be credited to the portfolio as part of an internal assessment.
- All CBSE schools are advised not to wait for the last date to submit the entry
- The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
